Team development for best performance
Less heat, more light
When is team building appropriate?
Playing games and having fun doesn't seem like the best way to improve performance, but
often, doing something different from the norm works wonders. Whether it is taking people
outside the office to do something completely new, or if it is running a business
simulation or game, everyone can learn about the fundamentals of teamwork.
However, games only work with a real team. Does your team work well together?
Are members open and do they communicate freely? If they don't you may not have a team but
a group of people working for you, and groups rarely perform at their best.
Team building events
If you have a group or want to reinforce the concept of team amongst your people, we
run Team Alignment days that use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator questionnaires to
discover team members' preferences and, through a range of practical and engaging
activities understand the dynamics of personality types and how to get the best out of
colleagues.
With the basics of a team in place, you'll need them to work together
efficiently to meet team goals. Our Team Focus days take your vision and organisational objectives
and align your team members personal objectives with them.
Without this, you may end up with a high-performance team with members that work against
each other, deliberately or accidentally.
Each team building event seeks to bring people together while stretching them and, if appropriate,
put them into situations that are new and challenging. Whether it is a business simulation
or a water sports activity, everyone will learn more about communication and working with
each other through games than in any other way.
