Using eLearning to help you
eLearning, good or bad?
Very good when it's used well. Like any fom of distance learning, eLearning is great
for giving out information. However, it doesn't work well for many developmental areas
because they need you to interact with others to get the most from the training. How can
you practise team motivation skills or techniques when there is no one to practice on?
Perhaps that's why the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) annual
survey for 2008 reported that 95% of respondents agreed that "e-learning is effective when
combined with other forms of learning" while e-learning alone was only "very effective"
for 8% of respondents.
eLearning that benefits you
We provide eLearning modules for use in combination with workshops. Self-paced
eLearning modules cover the theory and principles of a topic and allow people who attend
our workshops to gain a grasp of techniques and approaches so they can think about what
they need to ask or practice. The eLearning units are accessible before, during and after
the workshops, allowing attendees to use them as revision aids should they need them.
Like our workshops and business coaching, our eLearning modules cover the four pillars
of management:
- leadership;
- communication;
- team dynamics;
- taking responsibility.

Each self-paced module lasts approximately 10 minutes, delivered using Flash videos.
Each module concludes with a questionnaire in which the learning from the module can be
tested.
If you would like to see a sample module, you can find our eLearning modules here. If you want a demonstration of what we have, you can
get a access name there as well.
